Here’s a brief recap of the developments that led to the new second edition:

Over the past year, the Throwing Fundamentals handbook was tested in several high schools and universities. Students found the handbook to be very helpful in learning the basics, while teachers appreciated the students’ drive to learn and improve on their own with the use of the handbook.  The encapsulated pages held up well and kept the handbook protected – even after repeatedly being covered with clay and rinsed off.  Overall, the handbook has proved its value for the beginning pottery student.

Invaluable feedback, tips, and suggestions from teachers and students were incorporated in the Second Edition.   New illustrations, pictures, and completely revised and refined descriptions of the basics really make the new handbook outstanding.  Additionally, the Visual Illustration posters worked so well in the classroom that these posters are now included as six additional pages in the Second Edition.
